Maintain active airflow and avoid growing wet. Avoid flower initiation by growing plugs at <13 hrs. daylength and NOT using night interruption. PGRs are optional; only use daminozide spray at 2,500 ppm one time approximately 5 weeks after sowing. Plug forcing is possible. Use 84 or 72 trays and grow in short days at <13 hrs. for approximately 8 weeks until 8 leaves, and then 4 weeks at 16 hrs. daylength or night interruption. Plug sizes matter, subject to pot size. For smaller pot sizes up to 5 in./13 cm, use 1 plug per pot with a 128 or 180 plug size. For larger pot sizes of 6 in./15 cm or 1 gal., use 1 plug per pot with a larger plug size of 72 or 84 for optimal fill. For larger pot sizes, we advise 2 to 3 plugs per pot with a minimum plug size of 180.
