Bellatrix has high resistance to late blight, a common disease of tomato plants. It also has resistance to Fusarium, a common root zone disease. Red Roma/paste tomatoes ripen in a short period of time, allowing for a large harvest for cooking sauce or making salsa. Best grown in the ground or in a large container, with or without support of a trellis or cage.
